Then this is where you want to be on a Monday morning!

Our sponsor Kate's Kitchen has provided us with some delicious cake to enjoy whilst you find your mum friend, sit relax and have a chat, we also might have some group chats too.

You are welcome to bring your babies of any age. We do provide a small amount of toys but please do bring your own entertainment for them. This is not playgroup but a talking group for mums to meet and mingle.

Drop in for only £5 each. Drink and cake included!

This is a non judgemental, friendly environment hosted by professionals who specialise in parenting and babies.

Bring Your Own Baby Choir

Mondays: 2:00-3:15pm & 3:15-4.30pm & Thursdays: 2:30-3:45pm

BYOB is a choir for parents, carers or parents-to-be. This is an adult choir – we don’t sing nursery rhymes but with little ones in tow we sing fun and uplifting songs suitable for all abilities. Parents sing while the babies hang out and enjoy the sweet harmonies.

We sing for 45mins and have tea and biscuits for 30mins.

Sessions are £5.50 paid for in termly blocks.

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi

Mondays : 3.00pm-4.00pm

Come and join a friendly group of people who seek to improve their health through gentle movement with Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi.

Shibashi is a modified Tai Chi form, comprising 18 movements, thought to originate from observation of the stretching movements of animals on waking from a deep sleep.

The rocking motions and stretching movements gently massage the internal organs, stimulate the energy meridians (used in Acupuncture and Acupressure), move the major joints, and improve breathing, circulation, balance and digestion.

The overall effect is to reduce mental stress and physical tension carried in the muscles of the body, a tension which the Chinese believe leads to illness and disability.

These movements are suitable for practice by anyone, regardless of age, and can be done seated or standing.

Classes will run from 3 until 4pm, on Mondays from September 23rd2019,

at: The Elephant House, I Dean Street, Bedminster, BS3 1BG.

Do join us for a taster session at no cost (future sessions will be around £3 to cover room hire), drop in for coffee or tea and biscuits and a chat as an introduction to Tai Chi Shibashi.

Yoga With Raggs

Tuesdays 6.15pm-7.15pm

Beginners Yoga classes suitable for absolute beginners or those wanting to refresh and have more verbal and physical instruction. I am open to questions and the class is relaxed and friendly. I remember my first ever class age 18, I found it challenging and I was nervous! But I continued to attend classes and it has enriched my life in so many ways. Come and try it, you've nothing to lose and all to gain!

MIXED ABILITY HATHA YOGA classes suitable for all. Each class is different and starts off slow to centre and relax, and moves on to stronger poses to strengthen and stretch. I talk through a guided relaxation at the end of every class so you leave feeling calm and happy!

Wednesdays 9.30am-10.30am (term time only)

MIXED ABILITY HATHA YOGA classes suitable for all, stats at 9.30am so an ideal class for parents having dropped their children at school. Starting your day with a yoga class is simply wonderful! Gently easing away tiredness and releasing physical tension to start your day the best possible way. And after the guided relaxation at the end you will effortlessly float into the rest of your day.

Wednesdays 6.15pm-7.30pm

Pregnancy Yoga. suitable from 14 weeks all the way to the time you baby is born. The group is small and friendly and a great way to make new friends, connect with your baby, and support your changing body. All classes end with a nourishing 15 minute guided relaxation.

Music With Mummy

Wednesdays : 1.45pm-3.45pm

Hi I'm Katie a first time Mum and post-natal depression survivor! I started running Jolly Babies and Music with Mummy Classes after taking my own daughter from 10 weeks old and seeing how much she enjoyed it, plus I loved the opportunity to meet local Mums with similar aged children.

My classes are a great way to bond with your little one whilst encouraging their love for music, helping with speech development and enhancing their sense of rhythm. We have lots of fun with instruments, bubbles, singing and dancing, but it's also half an hour out of the house where you can have some quality time with your baby/toddler.

Having suffered with anxiety and depression I know how daunting it can be going along to a new group so I make every effort to ensure you feel welcome and to put you and your little one at ease.

I'd love to have you join one of my classes currently being run at 145pm for toddlers 16 months to 3 years and 230 & 315pm for babies from birth to 15 months.

Respiratory Autogenic Training for Pregnancy and Childbirth

Informations about the technique:

Respiratory Autogenic Training for Pregnancy and Childbirth (RAT-PC, U. Piscicelli) is a variation of Autogenic Training (E. J. Schultz), it has been specifically developed to help women control breathing and reduce pain feelings during pregnancy and labour, and to work with their emotions of fear and pain.

RAT-PC technique is scientifically proved and it consists in the practice of seven specific exercises focused on body perception and breathing to help muscle relaxation and oxigenation.

The aim of this method is to teach to women how to stay aware and relaxed during the labor in order to spare precious energies for the pushing phase. And during the pushing phase, the exercises helps the women to avoid excessive fear reactions and to reduce muscle tension in order to control pain perception and to prevent muscle injuries.


Informations about the class:

The class is for a maximum of 10 pregnant women, over 18, from the 4th month of pregnancy.

This is a 12 lessons course, the duration of each lesson is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Welcome to Dancemums!

Mums and babies and toddlers of BRISTOL!
Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could combine the fun of a night out, a playdate for your toddler and getting your body back into one 60 minute session?DanceMums is a 60 minute fitness class that caters for your fitness, social life and yours and your babies happiness in just one weekly session! You get to boogie whilst toning your whole body and meeting a new bunch of fun mummy friends!
This class is suitable for all abilities, shapes and sizes. No previous dance experience needed. You can do as much or as little as suits you. Lots of toning up movements, stretches, and some new dance routines including Contemporary Dance, vernacular Jazz, Russian Folk, social Salsa, African dance. The class is carefully structured so you can take care of your baby while working out- no stress. There are no strict rules, enjoy meeting new mums friends and babies during 60 mins while you dance. Learn a few dance routines and enjoy a nice cup of tea afterwards.

Balboa Dancing

Sundays (2nd Sunday of every month) : 12pm - 5.30pm

Balboa is a close-hold partner dance which began in a place called Balboa on the Californian coast in the 1930s. It’s one of the swing dance family of dances and is danced to fast Swing music, New Orleans Jazz, and Gypsy Jazz, amongst other things. It’s a feel-good dance to feel-good music! No experience necessary, no need to book, or to bring a partner, just turn up, have a go and enjoy yourself. Wear smooth-soled comfortable shoes.

Flow Yoga

Alice teaches an engaged Vinyasa flow style with influence from Forrest yoga. Through working as a medical doctor (GP) she sees first-hand the importance of working with the body in a compassionate and holistic way in any form of healing. She passionately believes in each of us having the capacity to heal ourselves through the practice of yoga on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.


She creates a safe space for us to bring awareness to our internal world, create more space in our bodies and minds, and more love in our hearts. Yogis of all backgrounds and experience levels welcome!


Alice trained initially with a 200-hour in Hatha Yoga with Bharath Shetty in Mysore, India. Subsequently she completed another 200-hour training with Briohny Smyth and Dice Iida-Klein in Vinyasa Flow Yoga. In 2017 she completed a 100-hour Bodyworker training with Brian Campbell and Jambo Truong and in 2018 she completed further training in Forrest Yoga with Jambo Truong.
